K.R.Subbanna

K.R.Subbanna was born in Karnataka in 1952. He did a diploma in Painting from the Govt.School of Art & Crafts in Davangere, Karnataka in 1974 and MFA from Delhi College of Art in 1995. Solo Shows at Alliance Francise de Delhi-1982, Tai in Gallery, Seoul, South Koera-1983, Galerie Bernanos, Paris, France, 1998, Spike Island, Bristol, UK. 2001. He received a Scholarship under Indo-Franch Cultural Exchange programme and was invited to study plate Lithography and other Printmaking Methods as well as to conduct Conducted a stone Lithography workshop at DET Rafiske Vaerksted Hjorring, Aalburg Konstskola (art college) Denmark in 1995, 1998, at “Kildevaeld” for the members, pupils from local Art School, “Kunstskole” Aalborg, Denmark, 2001, “KKV” (a professional printmaking Studio), Stockholm, Sweden, for the working artist and at Faroe Islands Lithography Workshop, for the public during open Studio weekend - 2001. He has participated in XI Triennial India and many national and international exhibitions including the Festival of India’s exhibition of contemporary Indian Printmaking in the U.S.A. He was awarded the State award by the Lalit Kala akademi in Karnataka in 1981 and the National award by the Lalit kala akademi in New Delhi in 1984, Award “Charles Wallace India Trust” for residency in UK- 2000, besides many other prestigious awards. Presently he is the Vice Chairman, Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi

Rajendra Dhawan

Born in 1936 Rajendra Dhawan studied at the Delhi School of Art from 1953-58, and at Belgrade from 1960-62. He had founded a group "The Unknown" which held shows from 1960-64. Has held several exhibitions of his work in India and Europe. Some of his one man shows are, in 1972,74 77,81,89 Galerie du Haut-Pave, Paris 1973, 75 Galerie Horn, Luxembourg. 1989 and 1993 Gallery Chemould, Mumbai, Dhoomimal Gallery, Delhi. 1990 Galerie Francois Mitaine. His work is represented in several collections in India and France, including the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Lalit Kala Akademi, Bharat Bhavan Museum and National Foundation of Contemporary Art, Paris. He lives and works in Paris since 1970.

Akkitham Narayanan

Né en 1939 au Kerala, Akkitham Narayanan est diplômé en peinture par la « Government School of Arts and Crafts de Chennal » en Inde. Il a ensuite étudié aux Beaux-Arts de Paris grâce à une bourse de son gouvernement.Il est lauréat de nombreux prix dont le « Tamil Nadu State Lalit Kala Akademi Award ».Graveur et illustrateur, il a illustré des poèmes sanscrits : « Saundarya Lahari » (Océan de Beauté).Ses œuvres ont été largement exposées en Inde et en Europe. Il vit et travaille à Paris.

Sandip Chakraborty

Sandip Chakraborty has B.V.A in Scupture from Govt College of Art and Craft, Kolkatta in 1988, and  M.F.A in Sculpture from M.S. University of Baroda in 1990. Sandip has exhibited his work since 1983, and has done many shows all over India and the world. He is an award winning artist whose sculptures are in the collection of National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi; Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi; West Bengal Government; South Zone Cultural centre; ITC, Kolkata; State Bank of India; UCO Bank; Birla Academy of Art  & Culture, Kolkata. Besides private collectors in Mumbai, Nasik, New Delhi, Kolkata, Germany, UK and MauritiusSandip is presently working as the Associate Professor, Faculty of Visual Arts at the Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

Debesh Goswami

Debesh Goswami starts his study in sculpture at the Rabindra-Bharati University of Calcutta, India. In 1995, he receives “the French government scholarship for the young artists” which allows him to leave for France and to continue his research in the field of the sculpture and the installation. In 2001, Debesh Goswami obtains his Doctorate of Visual arts at the University Rennes 2 entitled “the moulding process in the contemporary sculpture: technique and time». And in 1996, Visiting Fellowship, National Academy of Fine Arts, Poznan (Poland).He took part in several national and international expositions like Liverpool Biennial, Asian Biennial Dhaka, European Biennale in Nimes, Salon of Mont rouge, Indian Museum, Calcutta, Bangladesh National Museum, Dhaka, international art fair Hong Kong, Art Miami. His work was rewarded, by the DRAC-Brittany 2000 ( French Ministry of Culture) and by the residence in the City International of Arts, in Paris, in 2002, 2008 and 2009. Currently, Goswami’s works are exposed to the Gallery Hélène Lamarque in Miami(U.S.A) ,Champs libre(Brittany),gallery oniris,and modern art museum Moscow,( Russia).
